Hi, have never done a triathlon before but want to train for it. would it be ok to join as a beginner?
Thanks
Hi Paul, yes of course! We have lots of beginners who are only doing their first triathlons this summer (and some who won’t!). Best thing to do is just come along to one of our sessions (Beginner spins on a Saturday, Tuesday night runs or Friday/Monday evening swims are good places to start) and we’ll take it from there!
Hi, myself and my brother have recently moved to Dublin and are looking to join a triathlon club. We have done a few races before and are reasonably fit. Would it be ok to meet up with ye on Sunday the 1st july and talk to someone about joining the club and also go for the cycle with the group?
No worries at all Dave,
There might not be a massive group of people out this Sunday as it’s the day after TriAthlone but by all means come along with your brother for the spin! Keep an eye on the facebook page in case there are any last minute changes to the plan and we’ll see you on Sunday!
Hi, I’ve recently become very interested in the idea of triathlon training and competing. I have quite a bit of swim experience from when I was younger but need to work on my stamina. I also do two spin classes per week in my local gym. I play hockey so hope that might help with the fitness a bit but I need to work a lot more on my distance running. I’m very interested in joining your club and am very eager to get started ASAP. please could you let me kknow how i can join.
Thanks,
Mervyn
Hi Mervyn, the best thing to do is simply come along to one of our sessions! We run with Rathfarnham AC every Tuesday evening at 6:15pm in the park opposite Nutgrove Shopping Centre and we bike every weekend, meeting at the clubhouse on Rathfarnham main st at 9:30am. Full details of our training sessions are here http://belparktri.com/training/ and if you have more specific questions you can email our new members officer Eimear Fitzmaurice at the email address above. Once you have started doing a session or two with us you can take out membership. Regards
Kevin
